Professional Security Officer - Hospitality

Elite Defense Security Solutions, Inc, is a private security firm that specializes in Executive Protection, sUAS Drone Operations, Special Events, Armed and Unarmed Security Services.We are currently seeking responsible, reliable and Professional Unarmed Security Officers for Full and Part Time positions for a high end restaurant located in Beverly Hills, CA. Professional Security Officers will play a critical role in the guest experience, as they will be the first and last person who will interact with the guest as they enter the establishment.

As a Professional Security Officer, your primary focus will be on providing top-notch hospitality security and customer service while ensuring the safety and security of the patrons, employees, and property. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a welcoming and secure environment that aligns with the restaurant's reputation for excellence. but also responsible for representing Elite Defense Security Solutions as a security officer with integrity and serving the Beverly Hills community.

Key Responsibilities

• Security: Maintain a vigilant presence to deter and respond to any potential security threats or incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and staff.
• Crisis Management: Act calmly and effectively during emergency situations, including fire alarms, medical emergencies, or security breaches, and follow established protocols.
• Conflict Resolution: Mediate and resolve conflicts or disputes among guests or staff with professionalism and discretion.
• Collaboration: Work closely with restaurant management and staff to ensure security and safety procedures are followed effectively.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, reports, and other security-related documentation as required.
• Customer Service: Provide assistance and directions to guests and employees, handle inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, Ensure a visible security presence to deter potential threats.

Surveillance and Monitoring:

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure the security of the premises.
• Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances.

Access Control:

• Control access to restricted areas and ensure only authorized personnel enter.

Incident Response:

• Respond to and manage emergency situations, including medical emergencies, fire alarms, disturbances, unruly guest(s) and security breaches.
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security activities.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks and safety hazards.
• Participate in training sessions and drills to maintain preparedness for various scenarios.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid security officer license/certification as required by local laws.
• Previous experience in security or a related field preferred.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic grammar for report writing and documentation of incidents.
• Physical fitness to perform patrols and respond to emergencies.
• Vision correctable to 20/20.
• Ability to distinguish between standard colors.
• Capable of hearing ordinary conversation at twenty (20) feet and whispered conversation at ten (10) feet, with each ear (use of hearing aids or other devices is permissible).
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
• Must look professional and clean cut in uniform (Uniform will be a black suit, dress shirt and dress shoes) Must have own black suit and black dress shoes.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to perform normal or emergency duties requiring moderate to strenuous physical exertions, such as:
• Standing, sitting, or walking for an entire shift.
• Climbing stairs and ladders.
• Lifting or carrying objects weighing up to thirty (30) pounds.
• Able to open and close latches, zippers, doors, fences/gates, and screw caps.
• Running, jogging, or speed walking short distances.
• Reaching above the head.
• Bending to the floor.

Working Conditions:

• The role may require standing or walking for extended periods.
• Exposure to various weather conditions during outdoor posts.
• Must be available to work on short notice and cover shifts as needed.
