Job Description - Professional Services Embryologist

Description

Are you passionate about the livestock industry and looking for an opportunity that gets you out from behind a desk and into the field? This Professional Services Embryologist plays a key role in helping producers achieve reproductive success through industry-leading embryo transfer and reproductive technologies.

Supporting customers throughout Colorado and the surrounding region, you'll work directly with producers, veterinarians, and fellow team members while building the skills needed for a long-term career in cattle reproduction. Our ideal candidate would be located in Eastern Colorado, Southeastern Wyoming, or Western Nebraska.

This is an opportunity to develop technical expertise, build meaningful relationships with producers, and play a direct role in advancing reproductive success across the cattle industry. If you're looking for a career that combines science, agriculture, travel, and independence, we'd love to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support embryo production and transfer activities, including oocyte searching, embryo grading, thawing, and transfer preparation.
  • Travel throughout the region to support producers, veterinarians, and livestock operations.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and serve as a trusted representative of Tras Ova Genetics in the field.
  • Maintain accurate records, manage inventory, and ensure the highest standards of quality and attention to detail.
  • Work independently to coordinate schedules, prioritize responsibilities, and support a growing customer base across the region.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, veterinarians, and producers to deliver exceptional service and reproductive outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, or a related field.
  • A passion for agriculture, animal reproduction, and supporting livestock producers.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • The ability to work independently, stay organized, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A willingness to travel extensively and thrive in a field-based environment.
  • An eye for detail and a commitment to doing things the right way.
  • Experience in cattle reproduction, embryology, veterinary medicine, dairy, beef production, or other livestock-related fields is beneficial but not required.
  • Previous customer service or relationship-building experience is a plus.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the determination to solve problems and get things done.
  • The ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the role, including microscope work, lifting equipment and supplies, and working with liquid nitrogen.
