Program Coordinator

JOB TITLE: PROGRAM COORDINATOR

NATURE OF WORK:

The Program Coordinator supports the development, organization, and successful delivery of the organization’s programs and community activities. This position helps ensure programs are well-organized, safe, consistent, and accessible to clients we serve.

The Program Coordinator will assist the Executive Director and program staff with developing and maintaining program manuals, safety procedures, parent and participant resources, support event planning and hosting, family engagement activities, fundraising initiatives, and other program-related projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, organize, and maintain comprehensive Program Manuals for each program.


• Review program materials periodically and recommend updates to ensure information remains accurate and compliant.


• Draft and maintain organization-wide policies and/or procedures addressing safety expectations and procedures for program participants, staff, volunteers, and families.


• Assist with identifying potential program safety concerns, grants and expectations, and other relevant resources for applicable programming as needed.


• Support family engagement initiatives designed to strengthen relationships between the organization, participants, and families.


• Provide approximately one hour per week of mentorship and supportive engagement with Boys & Girls Club participants.


• Assist with planning, coordinating, and supporting program events, including community events, outreach activities, fundraising, and other events to be determined.


• Provide administrative support to program staff and leadership as needed.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be 21 years of age or older


2. Must demonstrate and display an understanding and sensitivity to serving a culturally diverse and/or special needs population 


3. Must be able to pass a state and federal background check


4. Must have a valid Alaska Driver’s License with a clean driving record

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

SALARY RANGE: $24.00-$26.00/hour

HOURS: PART-TIME (up to 20 hours/week)

SUPERVISOR: Executive Director
