Job Description - Program Director


DYS Northeast Health Services is a program of Justice Resource Institute contracted to provide comprehensive health care for adolescent males in residential detention and treatment placement at the Department of Youth Services in the Northeast Region.


Schedule: 40 hours per week


Compensation 


The pay range for this position is $135,000 to $145,000 per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future. 


What You'll Do:


The Program Director will lead the health care team in evaluating the individual health status of youth in residential placement at the Department of Youth Services, utilizing critical thinking and making independent judgements relative to primary care, and diagnosing and managing episodic and chronic illnesses. The Program Director will collaborate with other members of the health care team to develop, implement and document a plan of health care utilizing the context of the youth’s life, culture and developmental stage. Promote enhanced clinical practice, patient outcomes, and effectively influence positive change and professional growth in the care delivery system. Participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of standards and protocols to improve clinical practice and program effectiveness. Oversee the hiring and orientation of new Health Services staff members. Oversee compliance of required one-time and annual trainings. Oversee the completion and submission of required DYS monthly reports and quarterly QA measures. Attend DYS Health Services state-wide meetings and participate on task forces as appropriate.


Requirements:



  • Must be 21 years or older.

  • Graduate of an accredited graduate nursing program.

  • Current license to practice as an APRN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

  • Current certification to practice as a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner from an accredited body.

  • Will consider a new NP with demonstrated experience as a registered nurse with the pediatric and
    adolescent population.

  • Valid DEA and MCS licenses for prescriptive practice.

  • Current CPR certification.

  • Demonstrated experience providing health care to the adolescent population.

  • Travel to all NE Programs is required.

  • Acceptable driving record and state/federal background checks.
