Program Manager/ Onsite Lead (Mechanic)

JP Logistics & Consulting LLC (JPLC) is looking for a talented Program Manager/ Onsite Lead (Mechanic)

to work in a unique and dynamic environment. 

Location: Tyndall AFB, FL

Job Start Date: April 1, 2027

Hours of Operation: 07:00 AM - 4:00 PM – May be required to work outside normal hours

Salary: TBD

Scope: The Program Manager/ Onsite Lead manages the daily shop operations, oversees maintenance and repair work on heavy equipment, and leads a team of technicians.

Core Responsibilities:

• Supervision:
  Direct, mentor, and schedule on-site mechanics and support staff.


• Maintenance:
  Perform advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.


• Operations: 
  Manage parts inventory, coordinate with site managers, and ensure safety compliance.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Experience:
  Journey-level mechanical experience working on heavy trucks or construction equipment.


• Skills:
  Strong leadership, advanced troubleshooting, and knowledge of computerized diagnostic tools.


• Certifications:
  High school diploma, valid driver’s license (CDL often preferred), and relevant ASE certifications

Qualifications:

Must have Microsoft Products abilities and skills.

Must not be afraid to get their hands dirty.

Requirements:

• Must be a US Citizen


• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Must have experience in wiring, electronics, automotive mechanical repairs, welding, and machine shop fundamentals.


• Must be able to speak fluent English.


• Must possess a valid driver's license.


• Must obtain a favorable trustworthiness determination.


• Must pass pre-employment drug testing.


• Must be Flexible.
