Position Summary:
Our client is opening the door for a Structural Engineer eager to work on transformative projects. This is an opportunity for engineers who are ready to grow, learn, and take on challenging tasks. They’re looking for enthusiastic professionals who are passionate about engineering and are ready to contribute to projects that shape communities and transform lives.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Prepare structural calculations and construction documents that meet quality standards
o Design lateral and gravity systems in areas of technical proficiency
o Provide modeling and drafting direction
o QC own work
o Provide high level options for technical lead for areas that require direction
• Develop and Execute Sprint Plan Activities
o Create and communicate plan of approach to PM
o Understand and document tasks to complete deliverable and estimate hours
o Commit and execute the plan, reconcile plan with project team as needed
o Communicate early and often when roadblocks to the plan are identified
• Manage CA Activities and report to Project Manager
o Maintain and update CA Log
o Create response to RFI’s for PM Approval
o Review shop drawing and present to PM
o Elevate scope creep concerns
o Perform Site Visits
• Independently communicate and manage Client Coordination
o Communicate with client independently through client meetings, phone call and email exchanges
o Coordinate drawing development with technical staff
o Communicate updates to project team
• Participate and execute Continuous Improvement Activities
o Seek out and participate in continuing education
o Participate in material groups; update and improve standards and best practices
o Growing proficiency in material, market and project types
What you bring to the table:
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering required, Master's preferred.
• 1-5 years of experience in structural engineering projects.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools (e.g., ETABS, RAM) is a plus.
• Ability to draw, sketch, and detail in ways that convey design intent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
