Kelley Engineered Equipment (KEE) designs and builds highly customized equipment for the tunneling and underground construction industry.

The Role:
KEE is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex, custom equipment projects from concept through delivery.
This role owns the full project lifecycle, working across engineering and production to deliver high-quality systems on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the project lifecycle: from initial client contact through delivery and close-out
Own project financials: estimate, track costs, and manage invoicing and payments
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules: ensure milestones and deliverables are met
Coordinate cross-functional internal teams (engineering, procurement, and production)
Oversee procurement: vendor selection, negotiation, and contracts
Monitor progress and proactively resolve risks or delays
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, managing expectations and resolving issues
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Travel to job sites as needed (~10-20%)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field)
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to manage demanding clients and resolve conflicts
Preferred Experience
Custom equipment or engineered-to-order manufacturing
Tunneling, underground construction, or heavy civil projects
Familiarity with project scheduling tools (Wrike, MS Project, or similar)
ERP or project cost tracking systems
