Job Description - Project Manager - Water Infrastructure

Job description

Civiltec Engineering is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Monrovia team.

This role combines project management, technical leadership, team development, client relationships, and business development.

You’ll manage water infrastructure projects from execution through completion, provide engineering expertise, mentor staff, and work directly with clients and industry professionals. You’ll also help grow the business by developing relationships, identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and winning new work.

A Little About Us

We take our work seriously, but we don’t always take ourselves too seriously. We’re a collaborative, people-focused team that values good engineering, strong relationships, and having a little fun along the way. We believe experienced engineers should have a voice, room to make decisions, and the opportunity to make an impact. And with our 9/80 schedule, you’ll have every other Friday to enjoy life outside of work.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage project execution, budgets, schedules, personnel, and subconsultants.

  • Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for water infrastructure projects.

  • Provide bidding and construction support services.

  • Manage staff workload and mentor employees to help develop their skills and careers.

  • Prepare proposals and help identify and win new business.

  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and industry professionals.

  • Represent and promote Civiltec within the industry.

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership to project teams.

  • Present to clients, industry groups, or other audiences as opportunities arise.

Job requirements

  • 7–10+ years of professional engineering experience, preferably in water infrastructure.

  • Active California PE license required.

  • Strong project management and technical skills.

  • Experience managing budgets, staff, and client relationships.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Interest or experience in business development and winning new work.

  • Ability to lead, mentor, and develop staff.

  • Public speaking and presentation experience is a plus but not required.
