Property Accountant

We are partnering with a growing real estate company in the Salem, NH area seeking a Property Accountant to join their accounting team. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day property accounting functions and requires prior experience with Yardi software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned properties
  


• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations
  


• Review and analyze property operating expenses and variances
  


• Record journal entries and assist with month-end close activities
  


• Maintain tenant ledgers and support accounts receivable functions
  


• Work closely with property managers on financial reporting and budgeting
  


• Ensure accuracy of financial records and compliance with company policies
  


• Utilize Yardi for accounting, reporting, and property management functions
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  


• 2+ years of property accounting experience
  


• Previous Yardi experience required
  


• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
  


• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  


• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  


• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
