Property Accountant

Job Description:

Our client, an elite Real Estate Private Equity firm in Midtown, NY, is looking for an experienced Property Accountant to join their team! The candidate will be responsible for managing property budget and analysis information as well as setting up new vendor and employee data in MRI. This person will beinteracting directly with property managers and other property management company employees to validate vendor data. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience and will have strong MRI and/or Yardi experience, as well as intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work heavily in accounting system, MRI, working on company budgets/updating company information
• Employee Vendor review - review MRI for Property Management Company employee’s setup as vendors and validate with each firm.
• Close General Ledger and AP process monthly
• Work on other ad-hoc projects as requested by senior management

Job Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in relevant work
• Strong Excel skills, including, pivot tables, v-lookups and SUMIFs
• Strong communication skills, as this person will be communicating with multiple business lines

Compensation:

• $100,00 - $130,000
