Property Inspector

Job Description - Property Inspector

Property Inspector

Pasadena, CA

Are you a property inspector or looking for an opportunity to get into the construction industry and see projects take shape? Our client, a growing construction lending services firm serving government and private-sector clients, is hiring a dedicated, full-time Property Inspector to support its expanding business.

You’ll tour a variety of construction projects throughout California, document their progress, and meet the teams bringing them to life. This role offers a mix of fieldwork and office responsibilities, with plenty of opportunities to learn about construction and the financing behind it. The inspections focus on confirming what has been built and how work is progressing; no code-compliance inspections are required.

Between site visits, you’ll work from the Pasadena office, helping coordinate inspections, organize project records, and provide responsive client service.

If you enjoy working independently, meeting project teams, and getting out in the field, this could be a great fit.

Property Inspector Responsibilities:

  • Visit construction sites to document progress through photos, captions, and written observations
  • Communicate with project managers, superintendents, contractors, and other onsite personnel
  • Receive, schedule, and track inspection requests
  • Coordinate site access and schedule third-party inspectors
  • Review inspection photos and notes for completeness and quality
  • Help prepare and update construction progress reports
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and tracking logs
  • Support inspection coordination when needed
  • Follow jobsite safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE

Property Inspector Qualifications:

  • Experience in construction, including fieldwork, skilled trades, project management, or inspections.
  • Ability to travel throughout California and occasionally to other states. Rare overnight trips may be required.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple schedules
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

Company Benefits:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance covered at 100% for employees
  • 401(k) with 5% match
  • PTO and holidays
  • Company Vehicle and/or mileage reimbursement

Compensation: $50,000 per year
