Job Description - Protective Services Screener & Worker

Springwell is seeking a Protective Services Screener & Worker to join our dynamic team!

The compensation for this role is 69K.

DESCRIPTION:

Screen new reports of older adult maltreatment and/or self-neglect to determine if an investigation is warranted, according to program guidelines.
Assign cases to workers and provide direction for initial response including required time frames.
Discuss screening decisions with reporters as appropriate.
Conduct field visits to respond to crisis situations, complete investigations and implement service plans.
Document assessments of risk, capacity, and functional abilities.
Collaborate with elders, their formal/informal supports, other Springwell staff, and community professionals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited school in social work, psychology, counseling, human development, nursing, sociology, criminal justice, public health, public policy, or gerontology.
Individuals with a Masters degree or higher must have 2 years experience with crisis intervention, elders, and/or investigations; Individuals with a Bachelors degree must have an additional year of experience.
