Oversees moderately to highly complex circuit provisioning orders. Makes modifications to existing configurations as needed. Monitors an organization's telecommunications network. Tests and reviews an organization's telecommunications system to ensure dependable operation. Records and analyzes key performance metrics to monitor network conditions. Drafts and submits reports to assist with the development of telecommunications systems. Identifies network bottlenecks and recommends strategic improvements. Provides training and support on telecommunication functionality to customers.
This role is critical in ensuring accurate and efficient activation of customer services across our network infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for the configuration, deployment, and testing of services—ranging from voice, data, and internet to advanced enterprise connectivity solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS & KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: (include but are not limited to)
Provision and configure customer and network services on telecommunications platforms (e.g., OSS/BSS systems, routers, switches, VoIP platforms).
Work with field engineers, NOC, and customer service teams to coordinate service activations, migrations, and upgrades.
Interpret service orders and translate them into technical configurations.
Maintain and update provisioning databases and documentation.
Conduct service verification testing to ensure proper functionality and adherence to SLAs.
Troubleshoot provisioning issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
Support network expansion and upgrade initiatives through provisioning tasks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve automation and provisioning workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS & PREREQUISITES
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of experience in a provisioning, network operations, or telecommunications engineering role.
Strong knowledge of networking technologies (IP, MPLS, VLANs), and telecom services (DSL, Fiber, T1, Ethernet, VoIP).
Experience with OSS/BSS platforms, provisioning systems, and ticketing tools.
Familiarity with telecom hardware vendors (Cisco, Juniper, Adtran, etc.) and configuration protocols.
Understanding of industry standards and compliance (e.g., MEF, ITU-T, IEEE).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED:
Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Ansible).
Telecom certifications (e.g., CCNA, JNCIA).
Experience with service providers or carriers.
