The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Audits and Accounting Manager. Under administrative direction, this position will develop and maintain the monthly and annual reconciliation processes to ensure the various accounting systems used by the Department agree with records of the Illinois Office of Comptroller (IOC), the federal government, and other relevant sources. This position provides high level accounting expertise to the Chief Fiscal Officer, develops and maintains the monthly and annual reconciliation processes to ensure the various accounting systems used by the Department agree with records of the Illinois Office of Comptroller (IOC), the federal government, and other relevant sources The position will serve as the Department’s Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Coordinator and will coordinate and monitor various Departmental audits within the Division of Budget and Finance. This position provides a great opportunity for a motivated individual who is interested in playing a role in ensuring that DCFS implements sound fiscal policies and procedures in the administration of the agency.
