Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Traveling - Management)

Requirements

• Interview, evaluate, manage, and train Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs).
  

• Provide clinical and administrative mentorship to PMHNPs under your supervision.
  

• Train and mentor PMHNPs in core clinical duties, including:
  

• Conducting psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
  

• Prescribing and managing psychotropic medications.
  

• Collaborating with facility staff and patients’ family members.
  

• Delivering compassionate, trauma-informed care.
  

• Documenting care in compliance with regulatory standards.
  

• Travel extensively throughout NY and NJ to support providers on-site.
  

• Occasionally provide clinical coverage for other PMHNPs, as needed, at facilities located anywhere within New York or New Jersey.
  

• Support high-quality psychiatric care delivery in nursing home and long-term care settings.
  

• Partner with leadership to maintain consistent workflows and clinical best practices.
  

• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and clinical excellence.
  

Qualifications

• Active PMHNP license in New York (New Jersey preferred or willingness to obtain).
  

• Proven experience interviewing, managing, mentoring, and training PMHNPs.
  

• Strong skills in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and medication management.
  

• Nursing home or long-term care psychiatric experience preferred.
  

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  

• Highly organized and able to work independently.
  

• Willingness to travel extensively throughout NY and NJ.
  

• Preferred residence: Greater NYC Metro Area.
