About the Role

Vertex is hiring an overnight public area cleaner to keep our hotel looking its best while guests rest. You'll clean and maintain the lobby, hallways, restrooms, and other common spaces so everything is spotless and welcoming by morning.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize lobby, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and restrooms


• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors and carpets


• Dust and wipe furniture, railings, glass, mirrors, and doors


• Clean and restock public restrooms (soap, paper products, etc.)


• Empty trash and recycling throughout public areas


• Clean fitness center, pool area, business center, and breakfast/dining areas 


• Spot clean spills, stains, and high-traffic areas


• Operate floor machines, vacuums, and other cleaning equipment


• Follow proper chemical handling and safety procedures


• Complete cleaning checklists and report damage, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to the manager


• Be courteous and professional with any guests or staff encountered during your shift

Requirements

• Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends/holidays


• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to [50] lbs for extended periods


• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision


• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleaning standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous hotel, janitorial, or housekeeping experience


• Experience operating floor scrubbers, buffers, or carpet extractors


• Familiarity with commercial cleaning products and equipment
