Pump Application Inside Sales

The Pump Application Inside Sales position will be a technical resource for the field sales and service teams in the selection, application, quotation, and the sale of new systems, pumps, parts and repairs. Assists the sales and service teams in handling internal order processing and servicing internal and external customers. The Pump Application Inside Sales role must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers.

Essential Functions:

• Collaborate with outside sales to generate accurate and competitive proposals.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and application needs.
• Prepare detailed submittals, quotations, and order documents within target window.
• Provide product data, installation guidance, and application knowledge to internal teams.
• Provide value-added solutions designed to optimize long-term ownership costs for our clients.
• Assist with pump, blower, and vacuum sizing, system design, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate shipping status of open orders to customers.
• Handle return and warranty issues for pump department orders.
• Responsible for managing open order report.
• Make sales calls with salespeople and/or service technicians when required to assure customer satisfaction.
• Maintains contact with client by communicating with sales team and investigating customer opportunities.
• Provides technical assistance to salespeople, customers, and service department.
• Continually develops technical expertise on company products, competing products and new products.
• Shares knowledge of industry, prospects, and clients with Company colleagues.
• Demonstrates excellent attendance, punctuality and a positive attitude.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent is required; however, a 2-year degree or higher is preferred.
• Requires a minimum of two (2) years of technical pump, blower, or vacuum applications and customer service experience.
• Works as a partner with the customer and their team to develop appropriate long-term solutions and exceptional customer satisfaction; conducts self in a manner which enhances the image of the company and promotes customer loyalty. Understands the importance of Company support staff to the sales process and effectively develops a business relationship to accomplish the Company goals.
• Exhibits an energetic, good-natured, positive attitude; exceptional ability to engage prospective clients, identify customer’s needs, listen, analyze, respond and solve customer’s problems. Must be persuasive and confident while being diplomatic and tactful. Answer technical questions in a timely manner.

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a reliable vehicle and proper insurance.

Physical Demands:

• Must wear and use proper PPE at all times when in the shop/warehouse area and on customer sites.
