Puppy Patch Experiential Guide On-Call

As a Puppy Patch Experiential Guide, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, providing care and socialization to our puppies and supporting various operational tasks within the Puppy Patch and chicken coop. If you are passionate about animals, customer service, and interested in gaining hands-on experience, this position is for you! 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Greet and engage with guests, provide information and assistance in a friendly and professional manner.

2. Assist with puppy and chicken care, including feeding, grooming, vaccinating and socialization.

3. Clean and maintain the Puppy Patch, including the puppy play areas, kennels and guest areas. 

4. Help with the care of chickens, including feeding, watering, and cleaning their living area.

5. Provide administrative support to the team, responding to emails, and scheduling adoption appointments.

6. Maintain relationship with our partnered human society. 

7. Maintain inventory of supplies and order when needed. 

1. Passion for animals, specifically puppies and chickens, and a desire to learn more about pet care and customer service.

2. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.

3. Attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a clean and organized environment.

4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

5. The environment may include exposure to animal hair and dander, as well as cleaning chemicals.

6. Ability to work in an environment where the team member is frequently exposed to heat, steam, noise, and odors.

7. Ability to stand for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds. 

8. The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
