Purchasing & Business Development Specialist

• Vehicle Sourcing & Purchasing Operations
  Source and purchase used vehicles from general consumers and local channels, leading purchase negotiations.
  
• Customer Relations & Outbound Inquiries
  Respond to inbound inquiries and proactively engage with potential sellers using localized platforms such as Facebook Marketplace.
  
• Market R&D & System Building
  Analyze localized vehicle sourcing trends and efficient buying patterns to actively build and optimize our procurement system.
  
  

Requirements

• Negotiation Experience (Any Product/Industry)
  - Strong communication
  - Professional negotiation/ consultative skills to engage effectively and firmly with local American sellers.
  (Prior experience in the automotive industry or specialized buying roles is not strictly required).
  
• Customer Service & Adaptability
  - Exceptional interpersonal skills to provide polite, flexible, and adaptive customer service tailored to each client's situation.
  
• Mindset
  - An entrepreneurial self-starter who does not wait for step-by-step instructions.
  - Able to independently execute ideas, embrace failure as a learning tool, and drive the PDCA cycle at a fast pace.
  (Candidates with a background in independent business or self-employment are highly welcome)
  
• English
  - Native level
  - Capable of conducting smooth and professional sales conversations and negotiations with local American consumers
  
• Japanese
  - Conversational level
  - Sufficient for smooth, direct communication and basic reporting with Japanese team members

• Practical experience in vehicle appraisal or vehicle condition assessment.
  
• Practical knowledge or background in automotive maintenance/mechanics.
