Purchasing Specialist (Aviation)

We are searching for a Purchasing Specialist for Lamar Aero, our client in the aviation parts industry. As a proactive, detail-oriented procurement professional, you will source, negotiate, and purchase parts and components for the aviation sector, directly supporting the company’s success and ability to deliver quality products to their customers. This is a full-time, onsite position.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

As a Purchasing Specialist, you will:

• Manage procurement of aviation parts from multiple suppliers, ensuring quality, availability, competitive pricing, and on‑time delivery.
  


• Collaborate closely with the sales team to align purchasing priorities and resolve pricing, availability, and delivery challenges.
  


• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favorable conditions.
  


• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to prevent shortages or overstocking and ensure efficient fulfillment.
  


• Maintain accurate procurement documentation in the ERP system, including inventory uploads, drop shipments, and invoicing, to support high customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years’ experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management
  


• Capacity to negotiate best-deal prices with vendors
  


• Proficiency with procurement software and the Microsoft Suite
  


• Organization skills; ability to multitask effectively
  


• High attention to detail
  


• Ability to thrive independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  


• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport
  


• High school diploma
  

Preferred Qualifications

•  Experience working with aviation parts, components, and suppliers
  


• College degree
