About the Job
In this role, the Clinical Lab QA Processing Clerk receives, processes, and distributes specimens to the appropriate laboratory sections. They prepare specimens for testing and send-outs, generate and deliver reports, communicate necessary information to the care team, and ensure accurate patient registration and test order entry.
Here's what you'll do
Operations
- Enter patient orders accurately and verify patient identity.
- Receive, label, and process specimens appropriately, including preparing send‑outs to reference labs.
- Assess specimen acceptability and support cost‑efficient operations.
- Perform contract management, LIS registrations, and maintain required documentation.
Customer Service
- Provide courteous, efficient support to patients, families, clinicians, and internal departments.
- Answer calls promptly and communicate accurate information on specimen collection and processing.
Reporting
- Print, review, and distribute daily reports; resolve issues and make necessary system corrections.
Here is what you'll need
Required:
- High School Diploma
- Less than one year of previous job-related experience
- Specimen management and problem solving
- Excellent communication with physicians and clinics

Pay Range: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
