QA/QC Technician - Electrical Construction (Mission Critical)

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA/QC Technician to support mission-critical electrical construction projects, including data centers and other high-performance facilities. This role plays a key part in maintaining installation quality, supporting field teams, and ensuring systems are built to specification, code, and client standards.

What You’ll Do

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

• Perform routine inspections of electrical installations to verify compliance with:
  
  
  
  • Project drawings and specifications
  
  
  • National Electrical Code (NEC)
  
  
  • Client and mission-critical standards
  
  
  
  


• Support QA/QC efforts throughout the entire construction lifecycle — not just punch list or closeout


• Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions with field teams


• Verify installation quality prior to energization and turnover


• Help maintain high standards of workmanship, reliability, and safety

Testing & Verification

• Assist with and/or review electrical testing procedures including:
  
  
  
  • Continuity testing
  
  
  • Additional electrical verification methods
  
  
  
  


• Interpret test results and confirm compliance with project requirements


• Maintain organized and accurate inspection and testing records

• Read and interpret:
  
  
  
  • Electrical plans
  
  
  • One-line diagrams
  
  
  • Control wiring diagrams
  
  
  • Schematics
  
  
  • Shop drawings and submittals
  
  
  
  


• Verify field installations match approved project documents


• Prepare detailed QA/QC reports including:
  
  
  
  • Inspection findings
  
  
  • Deficiencies and corrective actions
  
  
  • Progress tracking and documentation
  
  
  
  

• Work closely with:
  
  
  
  • Foremen and field crews
  
  
  • Project managers
  
  
  • Engineers
  
  
  • General contractors and other trades
  
  
  
  


• Support inspection schedules and QA/QC planning efforts


• Help field teams succeed while maintaining quality standards and production schedules

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical construction experience


• Strong understanding of electrical installation practices and NEC requirements


• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams


• Experience reviewing testing procedures and interpreting results


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


• Effective communication and teamwork abilities


• Ability to work in active construction environments

Preferred

• Prior QA/QC or commissioning support experience


• Experience in mission-critical or data center construction


• Familiarity with turnover packages and commissioning processes


• Understanding of QA/QC plans and inspection workflows
