QC Inspector

Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, located in Huntsville, AL, is looking for a Quality Control Inspector with a proven track record to join our team. We are the leading manufacturer of pipe and fittings. We are the only manufacturer that offers a complete system of cast iron, PVC, CPVC, ABS and FlowGuard Gold® pipe and fittings for residential and commercial plumbing systems and industrial applications. Investment in the latest tooling and machinery make it possible for us to meet increasing demand for our products and to provide the highest quality pipe and fittings in the industry. Schedule: 2-2-3 | 3rd Shift | 7 PM - 7 AM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Perform visual and mechanical inspection of selected product samples.


• Familiar with Microsoft applications


• Utilize such inspection devices as micrometers, testing devices, diameter gauges, and coordinate measuring machine.


• Basic math skills including fractions.


• Good communication skills to interact with production associates.


• Train new associates.


• Perform QC processes for visiting/sales personnel.


• Knowledge of ASTM, NSF, APMO & CSA standards & requirements.


• Keep work area up to 5S Housekeeping & Safety Standards


• Maintain constant state of alertness and ability to safely perform job duties.


• Help out in all areas of plant if needed.


• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required


• Ability to work 12 hour night shift


• Submit to and successfully complete background check and pre-employment drug test
