QC Inspector

The QC Inspector will work closely with departmental managers, production staff and suppliers. The QC Inspector will take responsibility to ensure quality, aiming to minimize the costs of reworking or waste and maximize customer satisfaction with our products. The QC Inspector will have the opportunity to take control of all activities relating to the final inspection of products and relevant documentation, developing our business goes hand in hand with developing our people’s skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform inspections on components.
• Perform source inspections at facilities.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
• Review inspection records received for compliance.
• Maintain inspection and measuring equipment.
• Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) for nonconforming parts.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor and report Quality Assurance and Quality Control aspects of required work scope package(s).
• Control and ensure the accuracy of all required component parts.
• Completion of various inspection and quality reports.
• Mechanical and inspection report completion to the required standard.
• Ensure the traceability of all parts required and documentation trail are in place.
• Record and document traceable information which will be required to certify the manufacturing process, to the highest standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Microsoft Office knowledge required is required.
• 5+ years of hands-on dimensional inspection experience utilizing precision tools including but not limited to; calipers, OD mics, dial indicators, hardness testing, etc. is required.
• Ability to understand, evaluate and apply technical information (functional/technical learning) is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend GDNT drawings and critical dimension reports is required.
• Comprehension of MTRs and NDT certificates is required.
• Knowledge of coatings is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to quickly identify critical information and respond appropriately.
