POSITION SUMMARY
The QC Laboratory Administrator supports the processing, flow, and documentation of testing samples throughout the QC Laboratory. This position is responsible for ensuring the necessary sample documentation is completed and that samples are tested and reported appropriately. The QC Laboratory Administrator maintains proper records of chemical inventory, calibration / maintenance of equipment, and QC Laboratory training according to proper cGMP guidelines. This position will be responsible for assisting senior level staff. The job function requires basic administrative skills with handling laboratory reagents, working in a GMP environment, and inventory management. The QC Laboratory Administrator position is responsible for assisting the QC Laboratory by conducting research, preparing reports, handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as ordering materials, scanning, and filing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Records laboratory testing data in appropriate format in spreadsheets and files
- Manage the flow of QC Laboratory documentation into and out of the Laboratory.
- Support QC audit readiness with understanding of FDA and ISO regulations and requirements.
- Support on-time performance in the QC lab against the Production and laboratory schedules.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for all QC areas
- Follow all SOPs and Safety Guidelines to ensure compliance with a cGMP environment and Safety Practices
- Maintain analytical laboratory inventory supply of reagents and parts
- Maintain QC Laboratory retain inventory
- Schedule contractors and ensure that laboratory equipment maintenance is kept on schedule
- Prepare orders for supplies, media, equipment, etc.
- Meet with vendors to obtain and negotiate pricing for laboratory supplies and services
- Assist with tracking laboratory expenses and assist with annual budget planning
- Collect and file SDS sheets for chemicals and reagents
- Serve as training coordinator for the QC Lab
- Assist in scheduling Laboratory meeting and events
- Any additional functions as assigned by the Laboratory Manager
EDUCATION
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and 2+ years related experience (preferred)
EXPERIENCE
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to be flexible and work well as a team player

- Computer Skills
- Basic computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ventilated, well-lighted laboratory with work benches, vented hoods, tile or epoxy flooring. Temperature controlled.
