First IT Solutions

At least 2 years of experience using QlikView version 11 or higher with proven experience in the following areas:

Must have technical background to gather technical requirements from the business, make recommendations and drive the reporting development process.

Must be technically proficient to query data, interface with the IT side of the business and work directly with the business to implement functional system specifications.

Leads the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications.

Ensures that the use of intelligence applications enhances business decision capabilities.

Uses data analysis techniques to collect, explore, and identify the right data to be analyzed from internal and external sources, then constructs software systems to solve a variety of business problems.

QlikView Dashboard Design & Development

Assists business analysts with finding patterns and relationships in data. Good knowledge of SQL, relational databases and Dimensional Modeling - star schemas

Advanced scripting and ETL, data modeling (star schema)

Working with large data sets & Experience with complex data models involving more than 10 tables

Integrating data from multiple data sources into a QlikView Data Model – Hive/Hadoop, SQUIRRO/Social Media content, API extensions, etc

Use of complex QlikView functions and developing most optimal scripts for a given solution

Optimization of Dimensional data model for performance

Must have developed enterprise applications for use in production environments, should have experience in Section Access, Security Authentication & Authorization, Dynamic reduction, etc

Front-end design and Visualization best practices

Intimate familiarity Set Analysis & all charts and graphs to determine best one to use for a given business situation

Creating complex expressions for dynamic aggregation

Actions and triggers, Document Chaining & linking experience

Publisher and Server knowledge preferred but not required Understanding of Unix/Linux system, file systems, shell scripting

Hands-on development mentality, with a willingness to troubleshoot and solve complex problems

Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment

Experience in Insurance domain

Strong analytical skills

Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

At least 2 years of experience with DW/BI & Reporting tools such as QlikView, Cognos, BO, MS BI, Crystal reports, etc

At least 2 years of hands on experience in Design, Development & Build activities in Qlikview Projects - MUST

At least 2 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on DW/BI development and maintenance projects

Job Status: Full Time
