Quality and Environmental Health Safety (EH&S)

Position Summary

The Quality & Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager is responsible for leading the site's quality management system while fostering a safe, compliant, and continuous improvement-focused manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with Operations, Production, Maintenance, Human Resources, and Corporate EH&S to ensure product quality, employee safety, and operational excellence.

This position serves as the site's primary leader for Quality and EH&S activities, driving continuous improvement initiatives, supporting compliance with company standards, and promoting a culture where quality and safety are integral to daily operations.

The Quality & EH&S Manager will maintain and improve these systems while partnering with the Corporate EH&S team, which provides expertise in regulatory compliance, permitting, and environmental programs.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead the site's Quality Management System (QMS) and quality improvement initiatives.


• Develop, maintain, and improve quality procedures, work instructions, and SOPs.


• Investigate customer complaints and internal quality issues using root cause analysis and CAPA.


• Partner with Operations to reduce defects, waste, and rework.


• Conduct internal process audits and monitor quality KPIs.


• Lead the site's safety program and promote a proactive safety culture.


• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.


• Coordinate safety training and Safety Committee meetings.


• Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and company policies.


• Partner with the Corporate EH&S team on permitting, regulatory compliance, and environmental initiatives.


• Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.


• Approximately 5 years of manufacturing experience in Quality, EH&S, or both.


• Working knowledge of quality systems, CAPA, audits, and root cause analysis.


• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety.


• Strong communication and analytical skills.


• Preferred: ISO 9001 familiarity, Lean/Six Sigma exposure, OSHA 30 certification.

Reporting Relationship

• Reports to: Plant Manager


• Works closely with Operations, Production, Maintenance, Human Resources, Corporate EH&S, and Corporate Quality.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $56,000 USD - $66,000 annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
