Performing physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
Gathering data on quality issues, analyzing results, and identifying trends.
Maintaining records of inspections, tests and findings, and reporting any deviations from quality standards.
Support the Quality Management System through Document Control activities to maintain all the documents updated.
Suggesting and implementing improvements to production processes to enhance quality and reduce defects.
Ensuring that testing equipment is calibrated and maintained properly.
Participating in training new employees on quality procedures and standards
Be able to support under emergencies with chemical analysis as a needed basis. This can be on weekends and/or holidays
Build relationships with hourly and salary teammates to maintain open communication with production to keep updated on any issues affecting production or customers.
Share information throughout the facility pertaining to customer feedback and interaction in an effort to continually improve the internal system and eliminate customer concerns.
Act as a resource to the quality and production department on quality specifications, quality testing, methods, etc.
