Key Responsibilities
- Performing daily calibration checks
- Running references
- Entering data into log books, LIMS software programs
- Prepare and release CoA's for bulk shipments
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, preferably chemistry
- Prior QC experience beneficial
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to comprehend and accurately perform analytical methods
- Possess a fundamental understanding of mathematics and understand the nature of analytical calculations
- Must be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and LIMS software
- Must be able to:
o Safely handle corrosive and toxic chemicals
o Safely work alone when necessary
o Complete assignments in a timely fashion
o Maintain a clean work area
o Visually make color comparisons and identify the presence of foreign materials
o Interact professionally with supervisors/production employees in busy lab environment
o Use good documentation skills/organizational skills to record lab results - Must have a good attendance record
- Must be able to work rotating shift schedule, weekends, holidays, and vacation relief
Environmental and/or Physical Requirements
- Ability to follow Good Manufacturing Practices including the proper wearing of clean protective clothing, following personal hygiene standards, and adherence to food/drink/tobacco restrictions
