Position: Quality Control Lead
Reports to:   VP of Manufacturing
FLSA Status:   Non-Exempt
Department:            Quality Control
Location/Shift:        Monroe, OH / 1^st Shift

Essential Function:
          Perform inspection to assure quality standards are met - specifically to quality product in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner.
Responsible to select properly packaging and label samples further production for outside deliver.  Represent the Company’s mission statement of providing a highest quality , most cost-effective business communication solutions available.

Experience:

Minimum of 4 Years in a similar QC position.
Knowledge of complete Microsoft Office 365 suite, Acrobat Pro, PSI/MIS/ERP and Prestige for Scheduling.

Job Duties and General Expectations:

Excellent eye for detail
Highly motivated with a positive attitude and ability to work independently in fast paced, deadline driven environment and comfortable with overall Manufacturing workflow, work with effective manner
Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment
Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Advanced communication skills are required
Communicate quality issues to appropriate personal resolution
Understand ANSI Inspection requirement process.
Excellent understanding of quality requirements, tolerances and quality inspection processes.
Effective problem-solving skills and must possess a strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy/consistency
Have an advanced knowledge of computers (knowledge of PSI and/or Prestige is a plus)
Meet company and departmental standards, including: Customer Requirements, Compliance, Safety, Quality, etc.
Able to use a densitometer, spectrophotometer, paper caliper, etc.
Follow Lahlouh ISO Quality Procedures and Work Instructions, and complete forms and checklists as necessary
Follow Lahlouh policies outlined in the company handbook
Work extended hours, as business needs dictate
Perform other duties as required
Attend company and department production meetings

Position Specific Skills & Competencies:

General knowledge of company workflow, advanced knowledge of department workflow and requirements
Advanced knowledge of quality rules and regulations
Work with employees to keep the area clean and organized
Maintain a schedule for the department and communicate the expected time to start and complete tasks
Review, follow, and question information provided – require clarity and consistency and ensure the conformity of product
Attend production meetings and be prepared to answer questions regarding jobs as well as communicate material needs in order to meet the date
Responsible for selecting, sorting samples for consistency, understanding the matching OF jobs in regard to color and quality, complicated kitting jobs, understanding of Mailing jobs processes (such as Letter Shop Instructions, Matrix, Matching Mailing.)
Managerial supervisor, or coaching experience is preferred and desired
Ability to sit, stand, walk up to approximately 50% of the time and able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Lifting is moderate

Education:

High school graduate/GED
BS/AA or College coursework preferred
