Quality Control Manager | Ground-Up Construction

We're looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager who can step in quickly, understand the project requirements, and make sure what's being installed in the field matches what's on paper.

This is a project-based opportunity with an anticipated completion in April 2027, so we're looking for someone comfortable with the short-term nature of the assignment.

The Project

You'll oversee quality on a ground-up Corrosion Control Facility supporting a federal client.

The project includes:

• Ground-up construction


• Administrative space


• Hangar space


• Multiple subcontracted scopes


• Mechanical, electrical and specialty systems


• Coordination across multiple trades


• Detailed plans, specifications, submittals and quality requirements

What You'll Be Doing

As the Quality Control Manager, you'll be responsible for making sure the project is built to the drawings, specifications and approved requirements from day one.

You'll:

• Manage and administer the project's Quality Control Program


• Perform field inspections of work in progress


• Review and interpret drawings and specifications


• Review approved submittals and shop drawings


• Verify field installations against project documents


• Coordinate inspections across multiple subcontracted scopes


• Identify deficiencies and drive corrective action


• Maintain accurate QC documentation and reporting


• Coordinate required testing and inspection activities


• Stay ahead of upcoming work to prevent quality issues and rework


• Work closely with project leadership, subcontractors and client representatives

What You Bring

• Strong construction Quality Control experience


• Experience on ground-up, multi-scope construction projects


• Excellent knowledge of drawings, specifications and field installation


• Strong understanding of submittals and shop drawings


• Ability to inspect and coordinate multiple subcontracted trades


• Excellent attention to detail


• Strong documentation and reporting skills


• Ability to confidently identify problems and drive solutions


• Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision


• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach


• Federal construction experience is a plus, but NOT required


• USACE / Army Corps of Engineers experience is a plus

We're looking for someone who doesn't just inspect work after it's finished. We want someone who knows the documents, understands what's coming next, stays engaged in the field and catches problems before they cost the project time and money.

Because this work is performed in a federal environment, candidates must be able to meet applicable project access and screening requirements, including a favorable background and drug screening.
