Quality Engineer

This position will provide hands-on application of Quality Tools to assist individuals and teams with quality engineering support to customer and regulatory requirements. Prime Directives include:

·         Support all functions within the organization to draft/update and review documents for customer requirements and operations.

·         Assist in the maintenance of our ISO 9001, AS 9100 and ISO 13485 requirements.

·         Direct interfacing with Product and Process Engineering on Root Cause Analysis and Corrective / Preventative Action plans as required.

·         Customer interface for questions, concerns, and recommendations.

Personnel Specifications:

            Education & Training:

·         BA in Engineering (Electrical Engineering Preferred)

Special Qualifications & Requirements:

·        Ability to learn the production manufacturing and test processes relating to the production of Tantalum capacitors

·        Adept in the use of computer applications: Word; Excel; Access; PowerPoint; Graphics (Minitab, IQS, C Sharp programming a plus)

·        Ability to write clear and concise technical reports as well as organize and make presentations

·        Ability to understand variable relationships and interactions of inputs and outputs

·        Sound analytical skills, demonstrate use of statistical data to determine solutions to identified issues

·        Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization

·        Ability to interface with customers in a technical and professional capacity

Major responsibilities and ongoing tasks:

·         Interface with customers regarding application and components needs and testing

·         Assist in the development and implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives

·         Assist staff and managers is developing systems to meet our goals

·         Be a driving force in bring Biddeford to Best in Class standard

·         Interface with senior management, engineering, plant personnel and vendors to ensure timely completion of assigned projects.

·         Summarize in report form progress on all development projects on a regular basis.
