Escalate issues to department leaders, as needed\u00a0 Coach Associates towards an independent, problem-solving mentality to consistently achieve world-class standards\u00a0 Operate with a One Team mentality by collaborating\u00a0across\u00a0departments to solve issues and ensure production is to schedule\u00a0 Prepare priorities for you and your team for the upcoming shift\u00a0 Communicate and coordinate important issues with the right team members to solve issues, including cross functional partners, incoming shift team leaders, and department leadership\u00a0 Deliver\u00a0on Key Performance Indicators for People, Quality, Safety, Service, and Cost\u00a0 Engage and develop core competencies in Associates through onboarding, training, coaching and consistent performance feedback\u00a0 Achieve all safety goals.\u00a0Deliver on safety awareness programs\u00a0in order to\u00a0eliminate unsafe acts and conditions that contribute to workplace injuries.\u00a0Comply with workplace standards, company policies and government regulations.\u00a0 Ensure product quality, advising others to ensure\u00a0product runs\u00a0within specification\u00a0in compliance with quality standards\u00a0 Lead the team of associates to serve sales by achieving production schedule attainment, KPIs for thruput and shipping on time, in full\u00a0 Ensure cost efficiency by reducing waste,\u00a0decreasing down\u00a0time, and overseeing appropriate staff scheduling\u00a0\u00a0 Utilize tablets and essential applications within the tablets, such as\u00a0Kleanz\u00a0,SOMAX, Rever, Shift Guides, Intelex, and more, to keep processes running effectively\u00a0 Perform data analysis trending reports and action plans for the plant\u2019s sanitation, quality and\u00a0Food Safety KPI\u2019s\u00a0 Maintain and improve with the direct support of the Quality Food Safety Manager, the BBU quality and food safety policies/system and\u00a0ensures\u00a0that the programs and policies are followed throughout the facility and reviewed\u00a0 Support Quality and Food Safety Manager in evaluating compliance to conducting plant wide inspections\u00a0related to quality, food safety and food defense\u00a0 Ensure active participation in the Product Quality and Food Safety Programs, and Sanitary Conditions in the bakery and supports without hesitation General Plant Safety, GFSI (SQF), Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices\u00a0\u00a0 Key Behavioral Competencies: Operational Execution:\u00a0 This role requires the ability to think strategically about business needs, set data-based priorities, and build plans with their associates, fellow Team Leaders and their Department Leader to achieve improved business KPIs. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, planning, communication, and leadership skills. They will have the ability to effectively coordinate and manage operational activities, ensuring efficient workflows, clear communication channels, and successful execution of tasks and projects.\u00a0 Set the Standard: \u00a0This role has overall responsibility for universal achievement of Operations Excellence standards and practices for their team. The ideal candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate operational needs. Additionally, they will have the ability to work off ground level with proper safety equipment, demonstrating a strong commitment to safety practices. They will be committed to talent development, providing guidance and support to individuals to help them enhance their skills, assume greater responsibilities, and contribute to the overall success of the team and organization.\u00a0 Education and Work History: 2+\u00a0years of Bakery or Food Manufacturing operations management experience\u00a0 Bachelor\u2019s\u00a0degree, in Food Science or related major preferred\u00a0 Bakery operations /Quality / Food Safety / or Sanitation supervisory experience (2 years or more)\u00a0 A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 HACCP, PCQI, Food Defense Coordinator and GFSI Certified. Sanitation Essentials or AIB Sanitation / Food Safety residence course or similar training/certification\u00a0 Computer skills and\u00a0proficiency\u00a0in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Good interpersonal and communication skills\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Organized and detail oriented\u00a0\u00a0 Comfortable working in a participative team environment\u00a0 Ability to work under pressure and multitasking\u00a0 The physical and mental demands described in each job\u00a0posting\u00a0are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of each job.
