As a Quality Inspector II, you will play a critical role in ensuring our parts/components meet the highest quality standards. Essential Responsibilities




  • Inspects work being accomplished by mechanics and technicians at various stages of production and completion.

  • Performs receiving inspection of all incoming material to ensure conformance with acceptable aviation and order criteria.

  • Use various measuring equipment and tools as required during inspections.

  • Monitors production areas to ensure observance of established policies and procedures including Tool Control, Foreign Object Damage Prevention, along with general housekeeping and safety standards.

  • Assist with Internal Audits as directed.

  • Assist with maintenance and progressions of policies and procedures affecting FAA, EASA, ISO/AS9100/AS9110/AS9120, and Quality Management Systems.

  • Maintain safe and orderly working area conditions.

Required Education or Experience




  • High School Diploma or GED;

  • Three (3) or more years of quality assurance experience (including education);

  • Three (3) or more years of quality management system experience; and

  • Two (2) or more years of related quality inspection experience using Coordinated Measuring Machine and associated software.



Preferred Education or Experience 




  • Three (3) or more years of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) repair station quality assurance experience.

  • FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant Certification



Primary Work Environment


 



  • Climate controlled primarily, occasionally not climate controlled;

  • Shop/Warehouse; occasional loud noises;

  • Occasional fumes and particles;

  • Frequent moving mechanical equipment and vibrations.

Expected Days and Hours


 



  • Monday through Friday

    • First Shift - 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m.




 


Open and able to work occasional overtime, weekends, and willing to rotate shifts as required dependent on workload.


 


Supervisory or Management Responsibility


 



  • This position has no direct supervisory or management responsibilities.


 


Travel



  • Travel is rarely expected for this position.


 


Travel requirements



  • Rarely (up to 10% of the year)


 


Required Personal Equipment/Tooling


 



  • Protective steel-toed footwear.


 


Other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for job duties and responsibilities will be provided as necessary by Dow Aero, including protective eyewear, respirator, etc.

Additionally, as this position includes safety-sensitive job functions, screenings will also be conducted in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
