Quality Inspector II- 2nd Shift

The salary offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level. Salary Range:\n\n$35,200.00 - $52,800.00\n\nPay Rate: This position will start at $19 an hour. It also includes a 10% shift differential.\n\nWork Shift: This position will support the 2nd shift which is Monday - Friday from 2pm-10pm.\n\nPurpose Statement: Performs routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels throughout various stages of production. Visually inspects sub-assemblies and HLA level products are using a magnifier or other tools as well as lot sampling methods, or 100% inspection.\n\nKey Job Accountabilities:\n\n * Participate in root cause analysis activities to identify cause of quality issues.\n * Enters standardized information into GSF\n * Supervise work area according with 5\u00b4s standards.\n * Performs routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels at various stages of production. Visually inspects Sub-assemblies and HLA level products using a magnifier or other tools and using lot sampling methods, or 100% inspection.\n * Keeps supervisors informed and escalates issues when needed.\n\n\n\nEducation/Experience Qualifications:\n\n * A minimum of Middle school certificate is required.\n * One (1) year of related experience in manufacturing process is required; Two (2) or more years of related experience in the position is preferred.\n * Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing process (SMT, Backend) and HLA product builds.\n * Advanced electronic manufacturing experience, including knowledge of workmanship standards, is preferred.\n * IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 certification or equivalent is required.\n * An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.\n\n\n\nOther Qualifications:\n\n * Advanced reading, writing and math skills are required (i.e., 12th grade level)\n * Inspection skills\n * Knowledge of PCBA and HLA product builds\n * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills\n * Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision\n * Ability to maintain confidentiality of all company and customer information\n * Must complete training for and become certified for Quality Assurance within six months of obtaining the position and must maintain QA certification to remain in the position\n * Basic PC skills are required (i.e., keyboarding skills, basic mouse usage, opening and closing programs and files using MS Windows/Google Workspace) and familiarity with applicable Plexus software packages\n * Individual will be required to sit or stand for long periods of time\n * Individual will be required to handle a PCB by turning it, flipping it, and angling it\n * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for use of computer monitor, keyboard and inspection equipment, and individual must meet the visual acuity requirements\n * General office equipment and materials\n\n\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\n * Role will work in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment with required personal protective equipment. Facilities include comfortable temperatures, repetitive low noise level and suitable lighting for required tasks. May require physical stamina with strong manual dexterity and fine motor control with precise measurement equipment or delicate tools and components requiring a steady touch. Visual inspection may require acute near vision and the ability to work continually using magnifiers, cameras and other vision systems. Role will spend a majority of the time standing and sitting with limited activities including lifting packages, moving material and working around lifting and material movement equipment as needed.
