This position offers the opportunity to enhance quality by leading ISO audits throughout several sites. In this role, you will deliver solutions that make a positive impact for customers and the company while helping shape the future of our U.S. warehouse operations.

Position Summary

The Quality Coordinator is responsible for enhancing quality within the organization. This candidate will conduct internal and external audits and assessments while implementing best practices that support the continued growth of Palmer Logistics and H. Essers. The ideal candidate is hardworking with initiative and a good eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• 
  
  Maintain the QMS and standardize SOPs, work instructions, and documentation control across the organization.
  
  


• 
  
  Internal & External Auditing: Schedule, perform, and document routine internal audits of warehouses, picking/packing workflows, and inventory tracking.
  
  


• 
  
  Prepare for external ISO audits and customer compliance audits.
  
  


• Collaborate on root-cause analysis for shipping errors, inventory discrepancies, and damaged freight.


• 
  
  Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate repetitive warehouse findings.
  
  


• Collaborate with the operations team during new client implementations to ensure specialized quality metrics and specific handling regulations are accurately integrated into the QMS.


• Conduct regular training sessions for warehouse employees and equipment operators regarding safety protocols, proper handling procedures, and compliance standards.


• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Background in Quality Control, preferred


• Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.


• ISO9001 Certified


• Highschool Diploma or G.E.D.


• Read, write and speak English


• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written


• Computer knowledge; Microsoft Office Suite


• Experience in Quality Management Systems
