Quality Technician

We are looking for a Quality Technician to join our team. We are a fast-paced company looking for someone who will be an integral part of our quality management team. At Kanak Naturals, our focus is on high-quality, sustainable, disposable tableware and food containers.

In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections and testing of all products based on established quality standards
• Complete and maintain records and data of all testing and inspections for review
• Read and follow work instructions, work rules and directions
• Use inspection, measuring and test equipment as required
• Conduct inspections and testing on new product development items, prototypes, samples and other items to assist in new product development
• Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly
• Communicate quality or compliance concerns to management
• Troubleshoot product quality issues that arise

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Positive attitude
• Self-motivated
• Ability to read and understand various measurement equipment
• Ability to work as part of a team whenever it is necessary to do so, but also be able to work independently
• Good analytical skills and ability to prioritize and adapt in the face of multiple tasks
• Strong problem solving and reasoning skills
• 3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel
• Quality inspection and documentation experience preferred
