Stepps Towing & Heavy Transport’s Race Recovery Travel Team provides professional recovery services to the nation’s largest motorsport organization. This role requires professionalism, technical skill, and the ability to exceed expectations in high-pressure environments.

Essential Functions

• Conduct race recovery/towing operations at various tracks.


• Travel nationwide as a full-time team member, adhering to a 45-week season schedule.


• Present a professional image and maintain consistency of recovery services across all venues.


• Communicate effectively.


• Operate response vehicles, wreckers, and rollbacks.


• Perform on-track recovery and towing on high-banked surfaces.


• Attend and participate in training, briefings, and continuous improvement efforts.


• Wear all required PPE (helmet, eye protection, fire suit, gloves) while on track.


• Assist with additional tasks as needed to support team excellence.

Required Skills Qualifications

• Comfortable sitting in a vehicle for up to 12 hours.


• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.


• Comfortable with traveling


• Capable of working on high banked surfaces.


• Valid driver's license (heavy vehicle license preferred).


• Previous towing/recovery experience preferred, motorsport experience a plus.
  


• Thorough knowledge of tractor-trailer operations, DOT, and ELD regulations.


• Knowledge of all team equipment functions.


• Strong critical thinking and situational awareness; able to work under pressure.


• Desire to collaborate and pursue excellence with the team.

Pay

• $67,500 / yearly
