This full-time diagnostic radiography role is at a medical center in Ithaca, New York, in the heart of the Finger Lakes. You'll perform a wide range of diagnostic radiography exams, working with patients, visitors, and staff in a hospital imaging department. New graduates are welcome to apply, and the employer prefers two years of experience.

Your Day-to-Day

• Perform diagnostic radiography exams following department protocols and radiologist instructions
• Set acquisition factors and position patients to produce quality images
• Evaluate images for quality before they move on
• Confirm the correct exam and patient factors, and follow the patient identification policy on every case
• Document any variation from protocol on the requisition
• Follow radiation safety practices and department policies, including ISTAT procedures at the sites where you work
• Limited local travel, 0%–5%, may be part of the role

What We're Looking For

Required

• Associate's degree from a radiologic sciences program
• ARRT credentials in diagnostic imaging
• New York State license

Preferred

• Two years of experience (new graduates welcomed)
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Clear written and oral communication
• Ability to prioritize, manage time, and adjust to changes in work volume

Physical requirements: Ability to push, pull, bend, safely transfer patients, and ambulate without assistance.

Schedule Details

This is a days/evenings flex position, with rotating weekends and holidays. It is an onsite role with no remote component. Note that the employer is not able to sponsor visas.
