Work Schedule: Generally, Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours per week

Compensation: $93,600 annualized (equivalent to $45/hour based on a 40-hour workweek)

Travel Requirements: 10%

Position Overview

The Readiness Analyst provides analytical and operational support to Air National Guard Security Forces programs, helping Government leadership maintain visibility of unit readiness, personnel and training capabilities, operational requirements, and mission support priorities.

The position requires strong analytical judgment, accurate data management, effective communication, and the ability to identify readiness deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.

The selected employee will collaborate with Government personnel and TACFI's existing SFAS team to support mission readiness, operational planning, and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Readiness Analysis and Reporting

• Analyze and maintain information supporting Air National Guard Security Forces wartime readiness and domestic response capabilities.


• Evaluate unit readiness status, manpower, training, equipment, and operational requirements.


• Identify readiness gaps, trends, deficiencies, and potential impacts to mission capability.


• Develop analytical reports, readiness summaries, briefings, and recommendations for Government leadership.


• Track readiness requirements, operational priorities, and corrective actions.

Data Validation and Systems

• Reconcile and validate readiness information from multiple Government data sources.


• Analyze manpower, training, resource, and operational data to improve reporting accuracy.


• Support authorized Government readiness systems, including DRRS, AFIT, TBA, ARIS, DCAPES, GACP, MilPDS, and Envision, as applicable.


• Identify data discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with appropriate stakeholders.


• Maintain accurate reporting products and supporting documentation.

Operational Planning and Coordination

• Support readiness planning, mobilization, contingency response, and exercise requirements.


• Coordinate with Government personnel and functional stakeholders to resolve operational issues and meet reporting deadlines.


• Support applicable Functional Area Manager (FAM) requirements and associated planning activities.


• Analyze operational requirements and assist with identifying improvements to readiness processes.


• Support communication and coordination across applicable military and Government organizations.

Program Analysis and Improvement

• Evaluate readiness processes, reporting practices, and operational information.


• Exercise independent analytical judgment in identifying deficiencies and developing recommendations.


• Prepare findings and recommended courses of action to improve readiness and mission effectiveness.


• Support quality assurance, data accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives.


• Maintain documentation supporting program continuity, accountability, and Government reporting requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret security clearance or higher. Applicants without an active clearance will not be considered.


• Relevant experience in military operations, military readiness, Security Forces, defense program support, or Government analytical functions.


• Ability to satisfy the applicable GSA Military Analyst labor category education and experience requirements, including authorized substitutions.


• Demonstrated ability to analyze operational information, identify deficiencies, and prepare accurate reports and recommendations.


• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and related productivity tools.


• Effective written and verbal communication skills.


• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and coordinate across functional teams.


• Ability to work onsite at the Air National Guard Readiness Center, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.


• Availability to begin immediately upon completion of onboarding and support the assignment through January 3, 2027.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior U.S. Air Force Security Forces experience.


• Air National Guard or Air Force Reserve experience.


• Military readiness, deployment, training, manpower, or force management experience.


• Familiarity with Air Force or DoD readiness reporting processes.


• Experience supporting headquarters-level military programs.


• Prior experience with DRRS, AFIT, TBA, ARIS, DCAPES, MilPDS, or comparable military information systems.


• Experience preparing Government leadership briefings, analytical reports, and corrective action recommendations.

Direct experience with every listed readiness system is not required. Qualified applicants with strong transferable military or Federal analytical experience are encouraged to apply, provided all contractual qualification requirements are satisfied.

Compensation and Completion Bonus

This position offers an annualized salary of $93,600, prorated for the actual period of employment.

The salary is equivalent to approximately $45 per hour based on a standard 40-hour workweek. This comparison is provided for informational purposes only; the position is classified as salaried exempt rather than hourly.

$3,000 Assignment Completion Bonus

In addition to base compensation, the selected employee will be eligible for a $3,000 completion bonus, payable following successful completion of the temporary assignment on January 3, 2027.

Bonus eligibility, payment timing, and applicable conditions will be outlined in the written employment offer.

This is a defined temporary employment opportunity supporting an active, awarded Government contract. Employment does not guarantee an extension, conversion to a permanent position, or placement in another TACFI position.
