Job Description - Real Estate Associate Attorney

Pay: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year

Location

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Westlake Village, CA, offering the opportunity to work closely with an experienced legal team in a professional boutique firm environment.

Note

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in California and have 3+ years of directly relevant real estate law experience, including strong drafting, negotiation, and client-facing skills.

Job Description

  • Review, draft, and negotiate real estate contracts, leases, management services agreements, operating agreements, and partnership agreements.
  • Counsel escrow companies, title companies, real estate professionals, developers, lenders, and property owners on practical legal and business issues.
  • Advise clients on governance, regulatory, licensing, and limited tax-related matters.
  • Represent clients in state regulatory compliance and licensing matters.
  • Draft real estate documents for residential and commercial transactions.
  • Help clients identify, mitigate, and manage legal and business risk.
  • Communicate directly with clients and keep matters moving efficiently.
  • Collaborate with experienced attorneys and legal staff in a professional, client-focused environment.
  • Support business development efforts as desired, though a book of business is not required.

Qualifications

  • California Bar license required.
  • 3+ years of relevant real estate law experience.
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating real estate agreements and related transactional documents.
  • Excellent written, verbal, negotiation, and client communication skills.
  • Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating with a team.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and professional judgment.
  • Comfortable working full-time in-office in Westlake Village, CA.
  • Business-minded, client-focused, and interested in long-term professional growth.
