Location: Columbia, MD or Rockville, MD. This role is designed around meaningful in-office collaboration, particularly while getting established with our team. Hybrid flexibility is available as performance goals and benchmarks are successfully met.

Note: Candidates must have 2+ years of substantive real estate law experience. An active Maryland Bar license is strongly preferred and may be required depending on the scope of the candidate's practice.

Job Description

• Counsel clients on a broad range of real estate transactions and related legal matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, easements, and other real estate documents.
• Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, ownership structures, title issues, and property-related risks.
• Manage matters from initial consultation through negotiation, due diligence, documentation, and closing.
• Review contracts and transaction documents to identify legal and business risks.
• Provide practical, solutions-oriented advice to individuals, business owners, investors, and other clients.
• Coordinate with lenders, title professionals, brokers, accountants, and other advisors as needed.
• Build strong client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor on ongoing real estate needs.
• Contribute to business development efforts and take an active role in growing your own practice within the firm.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of substantive real estate law experience required.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills.
• Experience handling real estate transactions, leases, acquisitions, dispositions, title matters, or related work.
• Ability to independently manage matters while collaborating effectively with a team.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Genuine interest in growing professionally and helping build the practice.
• Maryland Bar admission strongly preferred.
• Experience with commercial real estate, residential transactions, land use, financing, or closely held businesses is a plus.
