Location: Columbia, South Carolina. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the firm's Northeast Columbia office.
Note: Candidates must have at least 1 year of residential real estate closing experience. An Associate's degree or Paralegal Certificate is required, and candidates should be comfortable managing multiple transactions, deadlines, closing documents, and communications simultaneously.

- Manage residential real estate transactions from opening through closing and post-closing.
- Prepare, review, and finalize settlement statements, closing disclosures, deeds, affidavits, loan documents, and related closing materials.
- Review title commitments, surveys, title policies, and transaction requirements.
- Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, title companies, attorneys, and clients to keep transactions moving efficiently.
- Schedule closings and confirm that documentation, funding, and all parties are ready.
- Conduct or assist attorneys with in-person and remote residential closings.
- Coordinate receipt, disbursement, and documentation of closing funds in accordance with firm and regulatory requirements.
- Record closing documents and confirm successful recording.
- Assemble and distribute final closing packages to clients and lenders.
- Maintain accurate transaction files, closing checklists, and documentation.
- Provide timely status updates to attorneys, clients, and other transaction participants.
- Manage multiple active closings and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Qualifications
- 1+ year of residential real estate closing experience required.
- Associate's degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of residential real estate transactions.
- Familiarity with title insurance, escrow procedures, lender requirements, and closing documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple closings and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong written, verbal, and client-service communication skills.
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
- SoftPro experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of South Carolina residential real estate and recording requirements preferred.
- Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
