Job Description - Real Estate Finance Associate

Finance Associate


We're seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Real Estate Finance Associate to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in supporting a variety of financial functions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), escrow accounting, and commission processing for multiple real estate-related entities.

Role Overview:
As a Finance Associate, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of our company, with a focus on maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring timely and compliant financial reporting. This position works closely with the Finance Manager and Owner to ensure smooth and efficient operations across multiple business units.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage accounts payable: review invoices, process payments, and reconcile vendor accounts.

  • Handle accounts receivable: issue invoices, apply payments, and follow up on outstanding balances.

  • Process commission checks for real estate agents and assist with commission tracking and reporting.

  • Receive, generate, and deposit escrow checks for real estate closings.

  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end close activities.

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation across all companies.

  • Support general ledger maintenance and journal entries.

  • Assist with financial compliance and internal audits.

  • Learn and use multiple software platforms to complete daily tasks.

  • Provide additional support to real estate and title company finance operations as needed.


Requirements:



  • 3 to 6 years of experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping roles.

  • Previous experience in accounts payable/receivable is required.

  • Real estate or title company finance experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.


Location & Work Arrangement:
This is a full-time, in-office position based in either our Doylestown or Lahaska offices.


Remote work is not available for this role.
