What You'll Do
As a Receiving Clerk, you will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring materials are properly received and distributed throughout the facility. Responsibilities include:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against receiving documentation.
- Inspect shipments for accuracy and damage, and coordinate resolution of discrepancies.
- Properly identify, tag, and store raw materials and supplies.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and warehouse organization.
- Update inventory records and out-of-stock reports.
- Follow up on receiving and invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Sort and distribute incoming deliveries such as UPS and FedEx packages.
- Deliver materials and shipments throughout the facility as needed.
- Pull and prepare sample requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
- Order and maintain factory supply inventory levels.
- Communicate relevant warehouse and inventory information to appropriate departments.
- Operate forklifts safely and maintain certification.
- Support quality, environmental, and safety programs throughout the facility.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, receiving, inventory control, or material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to enter and maintain information in inventory management systems.
- Ability to read and understand job tickets, shipping documents, and receiving paperwork.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and teamwork.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
