Receiving Inspector (Incoming Quality Control) – 1st Shift | Sterling Heights, MI

We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Inspector to support incoming quality operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for the inspection and accurate counting of incoming materials, ensuring all components meet company and customer specifications. • Perform incoming inspection of raw materials, components, and parts
• Verify quantities and counts against packing slips and purchase orders
• Conduct full inspection to ensure materials meet specifications and quality standards
• Use hand tools and inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Identify and document non-conforming materials
• Work with suppliers, purchasing, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation
• Support inventory accuracy and material control processes

• 2+ years of experience in receiving inspection or quality control
• Experience with full inspection and counting of incoming materials (required)
• Proficiency using inspection tools and measuring equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace environments
• Familiarity with quality standards and inspection procedures
• Knowledge of GD&T (a plus)
