*DIFFERENCES TO ABOVE FOR OVERNIGHT TECH*:
Training will look much different for an overnight tech, and most of the responsibilities listed above will not come into play on a night shift. For example, the clinical staff isn't there at night, so the overnight tech would likely not be expected to assist in any clinical matters, except in rare cases. Also, the tech is expected to know how to process a new admit, in case of a late-night admission, but this is also rare. An overnight shift will mainly consist of doing hourly rounds, keeping up with the shift report, and assisting the overnight nurse if needed.
