Recreation Aide -Day Shift

Verrazano Nursing & Post-Acute Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for a Recreation Aide to join the team at our Skilled Nursing Facility in Staten Island, NY!

Recreation Aide Responsibilities

• Prepare recreational programs and activities to meet the functional levels, needs, and interests of residents
• Maintain records of residents attendance and participation in activities
• Coordinate activities with other departments as necessary
• Follow care plans in providing daily activities for residents
• Encourage residents to take part in personal development
• Promote physical, social, and mental well-being of residents

Recreation Aide Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• COVID-19 Vaccination

Preferred

• Previous experience in long-term care
