Job Description - Recruiter - Full-Time - Louisville, KY

Summary


Reporting to the VP Human Resources, this full-time, exempt salaried role is responsible for the full life cycle recruiting to include recruitment, selection, placement and onboarding of applicants.  The successful candidate must possess considerable skill in interviewing & recruitment techniques, a good knowledge of compatible HRIS applications, as well as a good working knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities



  1. Manages recruitment process by developing effective recruitment strategies, including AI initiatives, to achieve required staffing through collaboration with the management team. Develops specific recruiting plans as needed.

  2. Engages with and sources job candidates through online social networking tools technology and referrals. Establishes and maintains a social media presence and relationships online to help proactively fill the talent pipeline.

  3. Uses/attends/plans/schedules traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events etc. to identify and attract quality candidates.

  4. Posts, processes and tracks job requisitions. Manages the applicant tracking system.

  5. May provide initial screening to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements.

  6. Screens and refers qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers.

  7. Prepares and disseminates offer letters to selected candidates through UKG online process.

  8. Track and report on team member demographics, turnover, and staffing trends to identify risks, opportunities, and workforce planning needs.

  9. Coordinates appropriate employment testing.

  10. Responsible for the oversight and administration of the background check and new hire drug testing.

  11. Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters etc.

  12. Assists with onboarding activities.

  13. Researches, analyzes, prepares and submits hiring business metrics to VP Human Resources and Chief People Officer for business plan reporting.

  14. Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices, recruitment sites such as Indeed and LinkedIn as a source to generate qualified applicants.

  15. Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.

  16. Processes applicable billing.

  17. Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organization related to recruiting and human resources.

  18. Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, responsible for labor law postings.

  19. Drives bi-weekly staffing meeting and requisition reporting.

  20. Assists with surveys and initiates employee engagement activities.

  21. Assists VP Human Resources and Chief People Officer with non-recruiting related activities as needed to include generalist special project work as assigned.





    Qualifications and Certifications



    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required.

    • 1 years to 5 years of similar or related Recruitment experience.

    • Experience with AI recruiting practices preferred.

    • Working knowledge of HRIS and employment labor law.

    • Knowledge of human resources and recruiting principles, concepts, practices and guidelines.

    • Organization skills with strong attention to detail.

    • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.

    • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines.

    • Experience with creating Recruiting procedures.

    • Experience with managing social media networks in a professional setting.

    • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite of products.

    • PHR certified preferred.

    • Working knowledge of UKG systems preferred.
