Recruiting Manager

About the Role

Senior Helpers West Jacksonville is looking for a Recruiting Manager to join our growing team. This position will be responsible for overseeing the recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training of our caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs.

The Recruiting Manager plays an important role in making sure we have dependable, qualified caregivers available to provide excellent care to our clients. This position will work closely with the office and scheduling team to understand staffing needs, maintain a strong pipeline of caregiver candidates, and ensure new caregivers are fully prepared before beginning client assignments.

This is a hands-on, ownership-level position. The right person will take responsibility for the caregiver recruiting process from the first applicant contact through hiring, onboarding, and training.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, outgoing, and comfortable working with people. You should enjoy recruiting, interviewing, building relationships, training, and taking ownership of the hiring process.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the recruiting and hiring process for Caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs.


• Recruit qualified caregivers through job boards, social media, referrals, hiring events, and community outreach.


• Manage applicants and candidates through Hireology.


• Review applications and resumes and conduct applicant screenings.


• Schedule and conduct phone and in-person interviews.


• Communicate with applicants throughout the hiring process and provide timely follow-up.


• Coordinate required pre-employment requirements and documentation.


• Coordinate Level II background screenings and other required hiring steps.


• Extend job offers and guide new hires through the onboarding process.


• Complete and maintain new-hire paperwork and employee files.


• Enter and maintain caregiver information in WellSky.


• Conduct new-hire orientation and caregiver onboarding.


• Coordinate and provide caregiver training as required.


• Ensure caregivers understand company policies, procedures, expectations, and client-care standards.


• Track required training, certifications, and other employee requirements.


• Work closely with the scheduling team to understand current and upcoming staffing needs.


• Maintain an active pipeline of qualified caregiver candidates.


• Participate in job fairs, hiring events, recruiting events, and community outreach.


• Develop and maintain relationships with potential caregiver referral sources.


• Assist with caregiver engagement and retention efforts.


• Identify opportunities to improve the recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training process.


• Maintain confidentiality of applicant and employee information.


• Provide professional and timely communication to applicants and new hires.

Experience with Hireology and WellSky is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Previous recruiting, hiring, staffing, human resources, healthcare, or administrative experience preferred.


• Experience recruiting caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, or other healthcare professionals is a plus.


• Strong communication and customer service skills.


• Comfortable conducting interviews and speaking with applicants by phone.


• Excellent organization and attention to detail.


• Ability to manage multiple applicants and hiring tasks at the same time.


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.


• Professional, friendly, and approachable.


• Able to work independently while also being a strong team player.


• Comfortable learning and using computer software and multiple platforms.


• Strong follow-through and the ability to take ownership of responsibilities.


• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of employee and client information.

Background Screening Requirement

This position requires Level II background screening through Florida’s Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
